Was ist ein DENIER?

Der DENIER-Wert gibt die Dicke des Garns an, aus dem Strümpfe und Strumpfhosen gefertigt sind. Je niedriger der DENIER-Wert (z.B. 8, 10, 15, 20), desto feiner und transparenter ist das Material. Höhere Werte (z.B. 40, 70) bedeuten dickere, weniger durchsichtige Strümpfe.

Microfaser-Strümpfe mit 50 oder 100 DEN sind nahezu blickdicht und werden meist in Herbst und Winter getragen.

Strumpfhosen mit niedrigem DENIER-Wert sind besonders für Frühling und Sommer geeignet, können aber auch zu besonderen Anlässen getragen werden, da sie sehr elegant wirken.
